So, How Much Is It "Really"?

When you've been evaluating medical software for purchasing long enough, there are a number of questions that will come to mind during the process. The most common, and sometimes most painful, to ask is "How much is this going to cost me?"

Shhhh!! It's a secret!

Many vendors don't publicly list their pricing on their website. Those that don't will eventually give it to you, but not until you've had to email or call to ask. Likewise, some won't give it to you until you've actually taken the time to sit through an entire presentation.

Now, you've given your name, your number, and an email address to a salesperson that is probably going to bombard you with follow-up calls and emails while you're in your information-gathering stage, trying to decide which products you actually want to demo.

Upfront, but confusing

Some vendors are beginning to make their pricing public on their websites, but many times the pricing will be confusing. This is especially true where there is a low price to pique your interest, then a myriad of add-ons to consider that you may or not need. These end up adding a significant amount to the final purchase price while also increasing the monthly maintenance fees.

Stop the insanity!

Why does this process have to be so guarded and so complex?

I think a practice manager or physician should be able to visit website and view uncomplicated, upfront pricing. I think that the icing on the cake is to get a pretty close ballpark figure, with just a few clicks, of what a product actually costs without having to talk to a salesperson first. We know that if you like what you see, you'll give us a call when you're ready. Why should it be any more complicated than that?

I invite you to review our upfront pricing and check out our online quoting tool. Feel free to email me directly at with your thoughts. We're working diligently to make this process as user friendly as possible for everyone that visits.
